Lamontagne
President
A veteran political and media strategist,
Susan established the Public Interest
Media Group (PIMG) in January 1997
to help non-profits, foundations,
and socially responsible companies
promote their goals. A former television
producer and campaign spokesperson,
Susan specializes in creating effective
public awareness campaigns on challenging
issues including teen pregnancy and
HIV/AIDS prevention, parent-child
communication, and health care reform.
She has trained hundreds of political
candidates, non-profit executives,
and corporate heads in the art of
communicating through the media and
appearing on TV.
Susan has served as a senior communications
advisor to both Democratic and Republican
elected officials, including as Press
Secretary to U.S. Senator Arlen Specter
and Director of the New York City
Press Office for Governor Mario Cuomo.
Prior to founding PIMG, Susan served
as Vice President for Media Relations
at Planned Parenthood Federation of
America, the nation’s largest
women’s health care provider,
where she directed national campaigns
on abortion and family planning. She
began her career as a writer for C-SPAN.
Melissa
Moore
Senior Associate
Melissa has worked with PIMG for over
eight years. A health policy researcher
and writer, Melissa helped direct
the Kaiser Media Resource for Reproductive
and Sexual Health that PIMG created
and managed for the Kaiser Family
Foundation for nearly five years.
Prior to PIMG, Melissa was a researcher
and writer for the Guttmacher Institute
and has also been an adjunct professor
at New York University, where she
has taught courses on gender and the
law. She began her career as a legal
researcher and writer for the West
Law Group.
Gemma
Deller
Graphic Designer and Videographer
Gemma has been with PIMG for over
four years, creating compelling advertising
and videos that make a difference.
As a parent, she was instrumental
in PIMG’s development of the
Eat Smart, Grow Strong campaign and
was our team leader directing the
creation of our Supermarket Spy Game
and all of its colorful characters.
Prior to PIMG, Gemma was an independent
documentary filmmaker. She has a masters
in TV production and has worked on
independent films about HIV/AIDS,
African-American culture, and poverty
in America.
Marvin
Li
Webmaster
Marvin has created websites for PIMG
clients for over six years. Formerly
the webmaster for NPR’s Justice
Talking, a public affairs program
produced from the Annenberg Public
Policy Center at the University of
Pennsylvania, where he developed www.justicetalking.org
and www.justicelearning.org.
